1. press the start button twice , foot off the brake (dash lights come on)
2. Press the trip reset button couple of times until the ODO is displayed (not trip A or B)
3. press the start button so the car is in the LOCK (OFF) position
4. unbuckle the driver's seatbelt if it was buckled.
5. press the engine start button -ON position- again press the start button twice. when the dash lights comes on, press and hold the trip reset button and count a slow 15 seconds. (you may have to try 20 seconds)
6. while still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.
7.and the odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". toggle the beep OFF with the trip reset.
8. the process should be completed when you unbuckle or turn off the car.

+1, can't believe how many people there are that are smart enough to purchase a Lexus, but so dumb not to wear a seatbelt

I actually turned my alarm off because the it would go off when people in the front seat unbuckled their seatbelt... and trust me, passengers love to take their belt off before the car stops, so then the car would beep for 30 more seconds.... so annoying

wait so technically i have to do it twice then? once in the Driver to turn off the driver side and then another time for passenger side?

according to the whole thread so far everyone seemed to just do it once... so does that mean they most likely only disabled the drivers side??

^No, you only need to do it once. Procedure A reads:

Seat Belt Buzzer ON/OFF setting (Procedure "A")
The buzzer ON/OFF setting, which is a setting of the
buzzer function of the combination meter, can disable
the driver and front passenger side seat belt buzzers.
It then goes on to mention that it covers both driver and passenger buzzers at the beginning of the procedures:
(a) Driver and front passenger side seat belt buzzers

+1 worked like a charm for me. i just hate the sound when the passenger takes 15 seconds longer to put on their seatbelt.
