Same here. Dealership told me it couldn't be done when i went in to get my drl's turned off and re-adjusted.
Glad i didn't have to pay to get this done. It's been annoying me for so long.

Thanks CL.

Default how to turn off seat belt noise?

3. turn the ignition to the LOCK (OFF) position
4. unbuckle the driver's seatbelt if it was buckled.
5. turn the key to the ON position again press the start button twice. when the dash lights comes on, press and hold the trip reset button and count a slow 12 seconds. (editor's note, hold it more like 30 sec)
6. while still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.
7.and the odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". toggle the beep OFF with the trip reset.
8. the process should be completed when you unbuckle or turn the key off.
So i found this on CL somewhere and i tried it a bunch of times.. but it didnt work.. has anyone else found a solution ?

i got up to step #6 and my odometer didnt change at all

i got a 2009 is350 . i dunno if this trick applies to me

Thanks

This should work for the 09's but not 100% sure... It took me a few times until it worked. Make sure you wait for the dash lights to come on before you press the trip reset button. Then hold it for a while before you buckle the seat belt. Maybe someone with an 09 can chime in on this.

I have a 2010 IS350 and it worked for me. I disconnected the battery during my intake install, so I'm going to have to do it all over again.

I stop mines by putting on the seatbelt Too easy not to and that nasty noise always reminds me. I just like being safe especially driving in this god forgiven state of California.

That method should work ... did you hold the button for 30 seconds? And make sure you dont accidentally release the button while buckling your seatbelt..

Man....I just can't drive without a seatbelt. Feels like i'm falling out of my seat without one. Overall, it's just safer to wear one. Is it worth it, really?

Well, the only reason I disabled it is because when I drop passengers off, they love taking their seatbelt off before the car has come to a complete stop - the car then proceeds to beep for 30 seconds. Very annoying lol.

Why don't you just unplug the seatbelt wire that runs to the computer lol.
