I also let my yellow lab ride up front with me sometimes. What do you use for a seat cover? I just use a blanket but wondering if there is something better.

Default Seatbelt Clip - Found on eBay

I’m surprised none of the great minds on this thread have thought of this … see picture. Of course, you should always wear your seat belt, but click this into the passenger side if you’ve got a heavy box on the seat or for any other good reason, and you’re good to go.

PS. Search eBay for "lexus logo buckle"

Cheers!

its funny and cool that this thread is still getting hits...i took a little bit of ***** for wanting to kill the stupid alarm when i started it a few years ago. oddly enough, my battery just died and reset all my computer settings so i need to read this again so i can redo the seatbelt alarm kill. cheers!

by the way, the question and the answer are both in the original post.

Pretty sure I used this specific thread to turn mine off in my 09 IS250 AWD, so it should work.

Tempting! Especially since this will get rid of the blinking light on my dash which can get annoying.

This makes absolutely no sense. Assuming the OP meant buckle the driver's seatbelt if it was buckled.

4. unbuckle the driver's seatbelt if it was buckled.
5. turn the key to the ON position. when the dash lights have come on, press and hold the trip reset button and count a slow 12 seconds. (editor's note, hold it more like 30 sec)
6. while still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.
7. the odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". toggle the beep OFF with the trip reset.
8. the process should be completed when you unbuckle or turn the key off.

It makes perfect sense...

It needs to be unbuckled before starting the process..

I somehow read that "as if it was buckled"...
