Default Dash Warning - Break-In Period?

Anybody noticed the inner ring on the speedo turns yellow when going over 75 mph? Is this only because the car knows its still under the "break-in" period or is this a constant thing?

Thanks....I should just read the manual first.

Your dealer didn't run you through everything first?

lol; you can set the alarm at 25 mph or 2500 rpm when you hand the key to the valet.

I believe it can be done by the owner, but I don't have my car yet.

It is set by the owner under Indicator settings.

It's set using the dash control buttons (the set of 3 buttons under and to the left of the steering wheel). You can set what speed and what rpm you want the rings to light up under. I think you adjust the setting with the left and right, then you push the center button to save, but I'm not exactly sure. Just play around with it and you'll figure it out, or just read the manual.

I agree...while it's nice of them to run you through everything, doing it right after you purchase the car is a bit much to bare, and I was hardly paying attention...

although its true that it is up to the buyer to familiarize himself with the vehicle by reading the manual, it is customary (or dare I say, mandatory) for the salesman to go through the features before sending the new owner on the road; so the guy doesn't have to fumble through the controls while driving home. For those of us crazy about the cars and have already read up about the features beforehand, you practically have to tell the salesman to shup up so we can hurry home to show off our new baby!
