From Audi A4 to IS250...
I am probably going to be going from a 2002 A4 3.0 Quattro to an IS250. I figure they are comprable in power when you factor in the additional weight that the Quattro adds on the Audi. Anybody of thoughts on this? I don't want to get a car that is significantly slower thatn the one I already have. I think the 0-60 numbers on the A4 3.0 Quattro were around 7.6 or something. Is that comparable to the IS250? Thanks.

Are you talking about manual transmission or auto?? Using a ~3500 rpm launch, the manual transmission should be in the low 7s or I would not be surprised if it gets to high 6s and the auto should be in the high 7s or low 8s.

I too have a 2002 A4 3.0(manual) and I took out an IS 250 AWD two days ago for a test drive. I was pleasantly surprised how much power the IS 250 had - didn't feel significantly different than my current A4 3.0. Most surprising was the tightness of the suspension - actually felt stiffer than my A4(which has the sport suspension). I think you'd be quite happy with the IS 250 - I don't know the exact performance numbers for the IS 250 but IIRC, the A4 3.0 manual was ~6.9-7.1
