Default Where to buy in california?

Where is the best place to get an IS in norcal? I'm willing to go anywhere in the bay area for it if it'll make a considerable difference. And if I may be moving to Socal durring summer/fall, should I buy it in socal? I take a trip to socal every month or so, so I could get it down there durring my next trip.

Thanks!!

Does anyone know if there's a difference between Steven creek, Fremont, Gilroy, SF, or Mountain View dealers?

Sales tax for cars is based upon where you live, not where you buy.

Putnam emailed me a $500 off.. but I think its this week only. I don't know if Norcal dealers are still charging MSRP. But either way I think you are going to have to pay close to MSRP at this point. I don't understand why there is a shortage of IS's. This is either a very good Lexus plan or they just dropped the ball.

My personal theory is that Lexus just doesn't have the manufacturing capacity to make more IS's. BUT they did recently open a new factory in Japan and as soon as that factory is fully online it is suppose to make 30,000 IS's per year. Lets all hope that factory goes to full output soon!

I friend of mine got $2300 off MSRP.

I'm waiting for get near invoice or possibly under invoice. I'm willing to wait a year+ if I have to.

Lexus of Glendale is not offering any discounts. I ordered my IS this past weekend and they would only offer MSRP.

False. You are taxed the rate your home county is in. So for example, if your county of residence is San Francisco County, and you buy a car in Orange County (7.75%), you will get taxed the 8.75% of your home county you reside in.

I don't think so.....cause me and 2 of my frds got it at Lexus of Glendale and we all got a really good price on it, i

think it really depends on who talk to talk to.....I talked to Peter Kong he's the Fleet Manager at Lexus of Glendale and i found him on Club Lexus and we all each got a Ipod Nano for FREE....

agree, it's always about who you talk to, with the right guy and you will get better deals. there is no "fixed" price

Guess I talked to the wrong guy "Internet Sales Manager". No discount on my order and no IPOD either. Maybe they will change their tune in a couple of months when my order comes in. Or I could look elsewhere...
