Default Well Guys it just didn't happen.

I was looking forward to being a Lexus Owner but I just could not find the car I wanted and did not have the patience to wait for one. I thought I was going to get a IS350 with Nav/ML, Lux, and PCS and Radar cruise control.

But it was more than I wanted to pay for it. And I was flat out told they would not be able to meet my price which is was 45K (which would have been enuff without the PCS and radar cruise).

I shopped around and looked at the Gs300 but my wife was not impressed and didn't seem to have the same fun factor.

I shopped some more and ended up picking up a 2005 Mercedes AMG C55 with 7k miles in my budget. In the end I think I got a great vehicle, but I will keep my eye on those driving there IS350 on the thinking hmm I could have had one of those :-P

So have a good one guys and enjoy your IS350. If you are in atlanta and see a Blk C55 on your tail it may just me :-P

Sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately it was a similar issue for me. I withdrew both of my deposits (I had one in Lexus of Glendale and the other at Longo Lexus) when i heard they wouldn't have the car I wanted (fully loaded 350 w/ML) possibly until march. Anyhow, congtratulations to all of you who were able to purchase the vehicle the way you wanted it. Lexus really aggravated mne with their allocation decisions. Maybe I will just continue to save my money (I hear the new LS looks awesome) and maybe by then my anger with Lexus will subside. For now, I will stick with my 05 max.

45k on a 2005 C AMG with only 7k? That seem like a pretty good deal. Don't they go at around 61k new?

C55 is a fast car, congrats! Did it come with the 7 year/100k mile warranty?? People say that when getting a Mercedes (specially an AMG) being the 2nd owner is the best! You get the best deal that way. People at mbworld take a $30k trade in hit only after two years of ownership.

Smart that you got the C55 used.

I got the C55 from a used car dealer so its not a certified vehicle it still has the balance of the warrenty and I may goto Mercedes dealer and pick up an extended one or etc.

The car was a good deal it cost me 45.7k and 600 shipping. The C55 is coming down in price for a couple reasons 1) Its 1 year old and used 2) The body style comes out this next year.

Mcgrath Lexus had two fully loaded with ML and Navi here in westmont about half hour away in the southwest suburbs of chicago. As a matter of fact I went there last night to get my first IS experience with the 350 what a freaking rocket ! . I dont think im ever gonna look at a sports car the same again driving this luxurious uber rocket . They had it for sale guys just incase if anyone is looking for one, its a bit of a stretch for me $44950 msrp on the window sticker fully loaded with luxury option and the navi and ML it had that power rear sunshade aswell the color was smokey granite, I dont think I want a black car anymore after looking at that color I was blown away. They also had another pearl white fully loaded IS350 that was sold with ML and Navi, Mcgrath Lexus aint messin around and they want your business, I on the other hand just cant afford a 45k car at the moment I could purchase a IS250 which I was thinking about but after driving the 350 im spoiled and couldnt live with anything but the Is350 so im just gonna have to wait.
