Calling cold climate IS250/350 owners with 18's
What are you doing for tires? I'm trying to decide between a set of all-seasons or winter. We only get heavy snow here in Indy about once or twice a year. So I'm leaning toward all-seasons, Thoughts?
Continental or Michelin in the Ultra High Performance all season... and Blizzak or Pirelli in the snow tire section would be the options. FOr the MONEY, I'm leaning toward the Continental's, but the reviews on the site are not great!?
Some of you have already commented.. any other thoughts, suggestions? Also would you recomend going with road hazzard?

I just put on a set of Pirelli SnowSport 240 tires (from Tire Rack) in the stock size. When I bought my car, I got the dealer to throw in 3 years of winter/summer tire switchovers (mounting & balancing) as part of the purchase. It hasn't snowed since then, but I'd expect them to perform significantly better than all-seasons on ice and snow.

Anyone have any ideas on where us IS owners can find good prices on the Pirellis? I have the 18" wheels.

If you have one of these near you, they're awesome! www.discounttire.com I've heard good things about the Pirellis, but also some bad, Ken has had complaints:

I am planning to switch to an all season type tire as soon as our car comes in. On my STi I run the P-Zero Nero M+S with great results. I haven't researched what will go on the IS but the Pirelli will be one I look at. We have run the Conti's on previous BMW's with decent results as well.

Are you referring to the Conti-extreme contacts? Did you like 'em enough to consider them again now?
