IS250 AT
24 mpg city/32 mpg highway

IS250 MT
20 mpg/29 mpg highway

IS350 AT
21 mpg city/28 mpg highway
I have a 250 M/T. Just picked it up yesterday. The last 7 years I was driving an A/T but this time I really wanted to go for a manual and I do not regret a sh..! It's just a different feeling with M/T

Europe is not getting the 350 so the question was 250 A/T or M/T. Easy decision. I'm really satisfied in terms of power. However, I'll wait for a convertible hybrid IS or a real M3 killer

Here are some pix:
IS 250 M/T, Sport, Nav/ML etc.

Nope. We call it Alcantara - don't know if it's called the same in the US. However, it's leather with a non-smooth surface and it's a bit more expensive than smooth leather due to the manufacturing process. This is available in the "Sport" only.

Alcantara is not leather, but a suede-like fabric. It's found in many European luxury cars. I am not sure whether Lexus uses Alcantara (trade-marked) or a cloth of similar design.

How does Alcantara compare to leather in terms of:

Wear and Tear-Durabiity

Care-How easily do stains come out

Hot/Cold-Does it freeze your butt in the winter and get hot and sticky in the summer?

It gets hot in summer time but not sticky in winter it cool and comfortable but sometimes you need to use the seat heaters, Stains comeout somewhat easy and its pretty durable but i prefer all leather for it comfort.
