1,000 mile checkup?
#16
I was just at Tustin Lexus this weekend, and I heard a few people bring their car in just to get it washed. They washed mine after I tinted my windows, however it will be the last time they wash my car. It was too late for me to stop them, and when I got it out, I noticed alot of little swirl marks on the trunk and the hood. Never again! I had it washed already a few hours before that too.

If a dealership out there wants to give you a 1,000 mile check and a wash then take advantage of it if you have the time. It just isn't Lexus maintenance policy anymore and not required or paid for by Lexus.

That's true i wouldnt let the dealership wash my car, the only
way i'd do so if it was in the dead of winter and my car was
covered in salt / dirt., But now that wouldnt ever be the case since
the company i work for has this huge garage, with industrial heaters
that i have 24hr access to..

I went to my dealer in RI yesterday and (per the salesperson) asked for the car wash.
After about 10-15 minutes I was handed my keyfob and outside was a nice clean IS250.
I guess you gotta ask. Worst case is they say no.

Do you know when Lexus stopped doing the 1,000 mile checkup? Oh well, it's too bad, since I could use a free carwash.
