Default Bluetooth problem

Have any of you guys had any problems with your bluetooth phones not disconnecting from your cars after you turn them off? For example, when I turn my car off and walk away from my car, my cell phone will not let me hear or I assume talk into it for about 30 seconds to a minute. It's like the phone still thinks it's connected to the car even though it's off. I have Nextel as my carrier and am using the i870. T.I.A.

Funny you mention that I had the same prob with me cell phone this evening. Took about 30 seconds or so before i could hear on the other end of the phone or talk into it. I got Verizon.... It would be nice to be able to turn the car off and pick up the cell to continue your conversation without having to wait awhile or worse re-dial the number

I had that problem as well when I first got the car. It takes 15-30 seconds for the phone to notice the Bluetooth connection is gone. I found that the best way to keep your conversation going is to hit the "transfer" button on the Navi screen to switch it to your phone before disconnecting. Has been working perfectly for me. Hope that helps.

Thanks,
Justin

I haven't had this problem luckily, my carrier is xingular and the phone is Razor. It disconects right after I turn the car off. The one problem I have been having is not being able to answer the phone from the answer button on the steering wheel.

Yep, that button instantly switches it from your car to your phone. It has worked like a champ everytime I have done it. Hope this makes life easier!

Stupid question, but is the "Transfer" button greyed out until the vehicle stops? Sometimes, I would like to transfer the call back to my phone if there's a ton of people in my vehicle.

Yep, I noticed this today when I pulled in my garage and I was on bluetooth. The transfer button didn't turn red until I was in park. The transfer button worked for me and switched my call to my cell, but after about 30 seconds, the cell gave a mesage about loss of bluetooth signal and I lost my call..

Here is another problem I've been getting lately:
When I first start the car as soon as the bluetooth connects, the car will immediately go into a phone call but I won't be talking to anyone..... I have to click the disconnect button to make it go away. I have Nextel, any idea why it would do this? It's not everytime either, but enough to be annoying.
