Good run. Work on that 60ft time. A general rule of thumb is every 10th shaved off of the 60ft is worth 2 10th's at the end of the 1/4. 2.1sec unless you had wheel spin is pretty slow out of the hole. Did you power brake it at all or leave from an idle? Your car might have a low 13 in it with a better launch.

I am familiar with that rule of thumb. I think that a 2.1 is pretty damn good for an automatic at that track. It is known to be one of the worst in the area. I didn't power brake so that should help, but I don't think that I will be able to break 2 seconds. My best with my Evo was a 1.83 and that was when I was trapping 111mph so I feel pretty good about the 2.1.

Congrats gaijin on a great time! Is there any way you can post your time slip? I mean, I believe you but, there will probably be haters out there who will claim BS. I can't wait to get my IS350 to the track. Too bad they're closed for the season.

Sick time for a stock car. Any clue what the stock rims weigh, with some light wheels and some slicks you may be in the high 12's(MAYBE ) Let us know when you run again......

+1 on that. It would make a good wallpaper. Good job on the run.

I don't think that people should call bs when I just ran what some publications have already advertised as the stock quarter mile times (13.7). I tried for like an hour to post the slip, but it is really light and it won't scan legibly. I tried to copy it dark and then scan the copy, but that didn't work so I tried to take a pic with my camera and that didn't work either so I kinda gave up. If it becomes a big issue, I can try to film it and then post a video of me filming my time slip, but that seems kind of retarded.

Here is how the slip reads.
r/t .... .428
60'..... 2.115
330 ..... 5.819
1/8 ...... 8.850
mph ..... 81.57
1000 ...... 11.458
1/4 ...... 13.686
mph ..... 100.87

Hopefully that will satisfy all you bad drivers with weak cars that can't duplicate my results and want to call bs.

jk

jk....

Our track prep here is very poor too. With more practice in the car you should be able to get under 2.0. My STi I can pull high 1.6's to low 1.7's faily consistantly. My lightning on street tires a 1.8 is the best I have ever done on slicks it will do 1.6's all day long.

For the first and only pass in a new car you did great.

Thanks for the encouragement. I am curious as to what other people will be able do with their ISs when they get a chance to go to the track. I guess it will probably be a while until most of the tracks reopen.

I imagine the 1.6s to 1.7s in the STi are with an aftermarket clutch and around a 5 to 6k rpm launch. My 1.8 in the Evo was with the stock clutch and the 5,200 rpm rev. limiter so that would help. When I get my Evo back next week I will have an ats carbon carbon clutch, and with the motec I have an anti-lag setup where I can build 30lbs of boost before launching so I am expecting pretty big things from that.

Stock STi clutch with decent power is toast. You are correct, using an Exceed twin-disc setup. Hooks like crazy and not too bad on the street. 4800-5000rpm launch. 20-22psi boost (FP Green turbo).
