Hello everyone.

like the title says, i was wondering which vehilcle were you thinking of purchasing before you finally decided to pick up your IS250/350.

Me. I was contemplating on waiting to see if i could get my hands on the new Ford Mustang GT500 or the 2006 Corvette coupe. I realize these vehicles arent in the same category as the IS 350 but they are generally in the price range...

I finally decided to get the IS 350 cause i love the way it looks.

I presume you were talking abou the base Vette, not the Z06?

I was looking at the TL or G35 and had to get a sedan for the rugs.

I was driving a BMW 325 xi. I looked at another BMW and at the Infinity G35x. I really wanted AWD because of our driveway -- neither FWD or RWD, with snow tires, can get up it. We have had two Audi's (A4 Quattro and S4) but I just do not like the Audi service here.

Chose the 250AWD and glad that I did.

Nothing really. I always kept my eye on the Acuras TL/RL but never really seriously consider that car or any other car. I might have looked at the G35c and the M35/45 for a second but never seriously. Once I saw the IS350 (July/August), there was no question.

I was looking at the 5 series BMW, hated the 3 series look. Almost bought a 530i at some points til i saw the IS. It's faster, sportier, the NAV is way better,the Optitron gauges are nicer those boring orange ones in the BMW, better stock audio system and most off all, the IS with same fully loaded option are 10k~12k cheaper

I was also considering those cars or modding a regular Mustang GT like this one;

Legacy GT

The lack of xenons, weak brakes and low electronic content kept me away.

I was considering the TL, G35 sedan, and 330i. Test drove all 4, liked them all, but what put the IS350 over the top was the 306 hp, it was just the most fun to drive to me, i liked the interior by far over the other three, and Lexus' reliability. The only negatives for me was the limited rear passenger space, and that i have to wait a little bit for sat. radio, but that wasnt even a major factor.

BMW E90 330i, Infiniti G35 coupe, Acura TL, and the Audi A6 3.2. It was a tough choice between the 330i and the is350. With a stick, ultra precise steering and some of the best brakes I've ever used, I found the BMW a bit more fun-to-drive despite the fact that it has less power. In the end, the Lexus won me over with a much nicer interior, better feeling materials, MUCH better nav and electronics and most of all, Toyota/Lexus reliability.
