Default Aluminum Pedals

Has anyone heard about the aluminum pedals being available separately to add-on to a new IS. I'll be getting my IS250 AWD with the Luxury package in February, but was wondering if it'll be possible to add the aluminum pedals from the Sport pacakge into the car. Also, does anyone have any estimates on the pricing?

Edit:
Actually, I just found them at lexus-parts.com for about $35. Does anyone know how they are installed? Do they snap on top of the existing pedals, or does it require a more complicated install?

If they are like the 1IS, the brake pedal has a cover while the the gas is part of the assembly. I'd actually be interested to know if the 2IS pedals are the same size as the 1IS pedals.

interesting the MB pedals look nicer than the Lexus ones and cost less ($50 vs $85). The Lexus OEM ones have a smoother shape; too bad the dead pedal is not available. Also in IS300 the entire gas pedal/arm has to be replaced, is that still the case?

Yes the footrest is included. The pedals that come on the sport package are the exact identical pedals that came standard across the board on 1st Gen IS300 2001-2005. The accelerator pedal is all one piece with the accelerator arm. I will take a pic of my pedals on my 1st Gen IS300, after a few thousand miles, they actually show wear. They look good brand new, but after a while, they don't look that great.

Yup. Which is why I was wondering if the pedals in the link above can replace the 1IS ones. The pic in the link shows the auto pedals with just the gas and brake. I am wondering if the price is for the pair or per pedal. And what about the manual pedals. Hmm.

if and when someone gets a chance to change their pedals to the aluminum ones please post pics and how it was done especially the part with the gas pedal having the arm changed instead of just the actual pad. thank you in advance

I will post pics once I get the pedals and install them

FYI, the Ebay seller informed me that the accelerator piece is just the pad, not the arm...and that these will NOT fit the 1st gen IS. More info once I receive the package!

That's what it looks like too. The 1IS and 2IS compatibility was a discussion of the OEM pedals.
