Default Pull to downshift?

I noticed the Lexus shifter pulls back to downshift.
This is opposite from others I have seen, Boxster, Mazda, etc.

Anyone find it hard to get used to?

Having had manual transmission cars with a myriad of four, five and six speed transmissions with different shift patterns, I can say that in time you'll get accustomed to whatever your car has. (Or you could just use the paddle shifters. )

Have to agree that pulling back to upshift seems more intuitive to me.

Yeah, I kind of wish it were reversed also, but I can learn to live with it.

It's backwards from F1 cars as well... I also thought that was kinda weird. I think the BMW steptronic is the same way though (not the SMG)

The Tiptronic in my Audi A4 (B5) as well as the Tip in my sister's A4 (B6) are both push-upshift/pull-downshift.

I'm sure it's as easy as swtiching two wires. I did it on my current car. So hopefully I can do the same to the IS.

I much prefer the push/downshift and pull/upshift.

Would that mess with the paddle shifters at all, if you "switched the wires?"
