headlight aiming
i just recently installed the Mccolluch HID kit and i cant see anything. The aiming was way off, the passenger is shooting to the left and the driver side headlight is shooting somewhere i dont know. And I haven't even touched the ***** for aiming the light. Does anybody have this problem? And also I cant seem to find the second aiming adjuster that adjusts left or right, I can only so far aim it up or down, and one more thing, the beam coming out of the driver side light is very dim, cant see nothing. I need help..........

Jlin101 was right. I had that problems on my driver side too. Just take the bulb out and try to put it back properly. You should be able to turn clockwise around 1/4 circle to make sure it seat right. Good luck
By the way, What Kelvin temperature your HID have? (4300k,6000k). Post some pic if u can

I also have the McColluch HID kit 5300K and it works fine and i can actually see, but the problem with mine is that on the driver side there's a little dip in the pattern. Like a stretched out U shape. I know that I put in the bulbs right and I also took the seal ring on the bulb from my oem bulb and put it on the hid bulb, still doesn't look right. Is it because its a bad bulb and needs to be replaced? I've tried adjusting it, still doesnt work. I will post some pics once I take some. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

Ya i had the same problem with mine. I didnt buy my hid kit from that company. But i had the same problem. I got it fixed. The bulb was not sitting in the housing correctly. So after that it made a big difference when the beams were correct.

That is weird, I have the McCulloch kit as well. I did not have to do adjust my headlights at all when I installed them.
I did have a tough time installing the bulbs though, and I had the same issues with a distorted pattern as they did not sit properly.
Before adjusting the headlights, I would put the OEM bulbs back on and see if they are aligned properly. If so, then the HID bulbs are not sitting correctly.
Also, what worked for me was that I removed the OEM rubber seal and put it on the HID bulbs, that worked like a charm, the bulbs sat properly.
With the rubber seal the HID bulbs came with, its very difficult for them to seat properly, though with some elbow grease it can be done.

Guys, use the search feature. This has been asked many times before...
The drivers side headlight pattern is made to be shorter to not blind oncoming traffic. If you look in your manuals, it shows you how to adjust the headlights up/down.

Ditto. If the OEM bulbs where fine before you changed them out, more than likely, the HID bulbs aren't sitting in the housing properly. I would ensure it is in there correctly first before adjusting anything. I had a tough time with the driver side when installing my MTEC HID.
