Your Post is so true. We also wait about four days for a reply from our dealer. Last Time I spoke to them I asked if they would put those Five spoke wheels like the GS, on our IS before it left Japan
Man, they were scrambling, wanting to know where we got the pic of the wheels. I sent them to the Lexus Japan website. They didn't know it existed. This forum is so good, I find out more here than the dealer knows I think.
That would be great if we were updated like the BMW, with order status Like qiksilvr described. Couldn't be that hard to do. They're making a killing on these IS's. They could hire a couple drones to email people that orderd. Status updates from Japan even.

Well it happened!!!
Out of the blue I get a call from my dealer... with the VIN.
Car is built (or being built), and should be here by end of January. Some light at the end of a long, long, long tunnel.

No ground effects or spoiler (personally I don't like the looks of them), maybe the HKS exhaust when it comes out.

My car is sitting on the ship (The Pegasus, in case you're interested) docked at the LA port. It will likely come off early this week for port prep (Z1). Then be here early the following week. Right in the middle of the 12-16 week delivery window.
