I performed the hack successfully on my 2006 IS250 AWD this past summer. Only problem is I noticed is that my FM radio reception has decreased about 30%, I can no longer pick up my favourite radio station from Buffalo, NY ![Crying](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/Peace.gif)
Has anyone else experienced the same problem, any solutions or ideas why this happened?

I was bored and had some free time this afternoon, so I thought I would do this hack. I've been putting it off for awhile, but since we'll be taking it to Vegas in April for my daughters wedding and would like the Mrs. to be able to watch DVDs, now was a good time. Wow....one of the easiest mods I've done. The DIY is dead on as far as how to take everything apart and what wires to cut and splice. I've heard alot of people talk about removing the vents. VERY easy. I just poped the 4 clips down and out pulled the vents. I grounded the red wire from the monitor to the side of the Nav chassis. Whole mod took about 30 mins start to finish and works great.

Might be a stupid question but i want to make sure of everything before i cut any wire. So from the first post with this picture the OP says:
"After cutting the Pink and White wires, you put a cap on the wires comming from the Navigation unit. You then connect the Pink (wireloom side) and White (wireloom side) wires together."
But from the picture, it looks like the pink FROM THE WIRE LOOM is connected to the WHITE from the NAVIGATION.
Is this right?

I just did this a couple of weeks ago. The DIY is correct.

have anyone have the head unit fan noise after the hack? well my head unit fan kicked in when the radio is hot or in the summer hot outside, but after I got the nav hack, and the fan spin very loud from the unit right after I turn the car on for about 5 mins, have anyone have that issue?

Does this work for the GS as well? If so, I just wanted to verify that even though it allows the DVD player to work while driving, does it cancel/void the information for the trip/ETAs on the Nav???

Works great on mine. I screwed up and failed to plug my GPS back up so I had to pull the head unit back out to correct it. I would suggest not pushing your vents ALL the way back in until you drive it for a day or so and make sure everything ( clock, GPS, antenna ) is plugged up and working.

Still hoping somewhere in Lexus land has found a solution to the 2010 nav hack. I don't have Marc levinson btw. The only solution I've seen so far is some company on here advertising an iPod adapter that will allow iPod video playback and also the nav hack in one. Has anyone purchased this and have any feedback before I spend the $400 bucks! Thanks folks.
