She will drive it mostly, but when I get in, I like to zoom around.......whether it's worth the extra greenbacks every month is the hard part.

make yourself the boss and decide what to get. you should know more about cars than she does. there are time that she can make the decision but chosing the right car..... do not regreat or you'll hurt for a long long time. it will bug you for a long long long long time..

You say the car is for your wife...get her the 250 and save the 100 a month for yourself. Put the extra 100 in what you drive. If she wants you to not spend the money on her car, respect her wishes and save it for you.

Then again Im selfsh, thats why I have the 350 and she has the S40.

You need to make up some excuse and tell her if you don't get the 350 now, you won't be able to get the 250 down the road.

The difference in the payment is negligible when you consider six months down the road when newness is worn off, as you're passed by an Accord V6, you'd definitely wish you had the IS350.

If the car is for you, take the 350 -- on a car in this price bracket, the extra $4k is not that much to pay for a much more satisfying driving experience every day. (And having all that power is fun, even for a timid granny-driver like me.)

If it's for your wife, I second Jhoo's opinion -- save the money for what you're going to be driving yourself every day. =)

By the way, note that the Premium+Nav is NOT the same as the $6k Luxury package (as someone said earlier). $40k represents a slight discount on the MSRP of Prem+Nav (about $41k IIRC) but not much of one.
