Default Three-some Comparison in MT

The Feb issue of Motor Trend has a 3-car comparison between 330i, IS350 and MB C350. The BMW again took 1st place despite the slowest acceleration results (the tester said "C'mon, it hits 60 in under 6 seconds." The reviewer felt the bimmer had the best handling. The IS smoked the others in acceleration (0-60 in 5.2, compared to 330's 5.8, and C350's 5.4). The IS garnered positive comments for the best interior.

The C350 too me is the big surprise. 5.2 to 5.4 is still very close. 5.2 to 5.8 is significant though. I'm really impressed with how the C350 held up even if it did get 3rd place. I guess the BMW 335 (3.5L) engine upgrade can't come soon enough for BMW. It looks like all the competition is starting get tighten up.

I don't doubt that. Which car is the best choice for each individual dependes on his driving needs and preferences. Notice how all BMW commercials show driving through winding canyon roads? Well, we don't have too many mountains or winding roads in Kansas...

Definately. But I, along with 95% of the population, does not need to test the handling abilities of our cars. I love BMW for how it handles, but I got a Lexus because of how comfortable it is. For most of my friends and family, we have sacrificed handling for extra comfort...
