Directions in Lexus manual are for Xm activation. Since car was brought over from another dealer no one at the local dealership can set up...need help[COLOR=Red]
You probably want to post this in the LX forum. But, go to www.sirius.com - find their phone number and call them to activate. Not hard. Tune to channel 255 on the radio (I THINK it is 255) to get the SID. It is 12 digits long. You will need that to activate the radio. You should get 12 months of service free.

Your Sirius is NOT factory installed. The car comes prewired for Sirius, but it must be installed (along with adding an antenna) either at the port of entry or at the dealer. Only XM will be factory installed, and not until the 2007 models.

It would be reasonable to have satellite ready from the start but the ball was dropped on this one. As mentioned MANY cars have it already its the fact that items such as antennas were over looked.

At one point, XM mentioned that they were working on an "invisible" antenna. The general idea was that the antenna would be embedded into the mirrors of the vehicle.

It would seriously rock if the Lexus IS350 was the first vehicle with these

Does anyone know how the Sirius service will work w/ the Lexus radio (I have Nav, if
that matters, no ML). Will a separate console be supplied, or will it be nicely
integrated ??

The dealer threw in Sirius install for the IS350 I bought...

I actually got a call from the dealer yesterday and they told me that it is no longer going to be installed at port and the dealer will be installing it there but it will still function exactly the same.

Does this mean that no I have to add an ugly antenna on the trunk? Will it still interface through the factory deck or will I have to add another external piece?
