Default Compass only shows North directions

I just picked up my IS350 the other day and I guess the dealership didn't calibrate the compass for me, since it was showing CAL for a while. By the time I read the manual and figured out what CAL means, it disappeared. However, looking at the NAV vs the compass I noticed that the compass only shows W, NW, N, NE and E, but never anything South.
I pointed the car South and turned off the engine and then the compass showed SW. Once the engine was back on, it showed NW.
I'm assuming the car has some magnetic interference that's causing the compass to provide the wrong info, but that's probably normal and calibration should solve it.
Problem is I can't seem to enter CAL mode any more. Even when I switch my zones from 11 to 1 or 10, and back to 11 it doesn't enter CAL mode.

P.S. I spoke with the dealership where they suggested driving in a circle 3 times, which I did, but the compass still only showed North directions.

I drove in a circle a few times to get my compass to work. But you gotta do it in a empty parking lot cos the circles should be big. Did you try that?

I tried both a tiny circle going about 5mi/hr as well as going around a block as they suggest in the manual. I just need to get into CAL mode again somehow.

Drive around the block?! My tech told me to just cruise in a BIG circle to calibrate. I have no idea what's wrong, perhaps one of our online techies want to chime in. Otherwise you'll have to try your dealer again.

Drive in a o slow enough that it takes you about a minute (45-60 seconds) to complete the circle.

Drove around some more and did a larger slower circle and it seems the compass recalibrated itself. I believe the mirror is made by Gentex in case someone was wondering.
