Yeah, the dealers I've spoken to here in the San Fran area haven't even seen a single sport though they tell me they've had a lot of inquiries. Kind of frustrating when I know that the dealer out where I used to live (Fairfax VA/Wash DC) has a couple sitting on the lot he'd like to sell!! :9

My neighbor has a silver/black one.
It took his dealer 4 weeks to get it.

Picked up my IS350 w/ Sports Package and ML from Lexus of Pleasanton in Pleasanton, CA last Thursday the 19th. Its Black on Black. I posted picks on the IS350 Registry thread. I was really lucky, a customer had placed a special order for it but could not come up with the financing and the sales man remembered me inquiring about a Sports Package w/ ML and all Black back in October so he called me and I said I would be there to purchase. I am hella happy to have gotten it a couple of days after my birthday. I cancelled my special order with Stevens Creek Lexus in San Jose for a fully loaded Luxury Package IS350 with ground effects and ML black on black. My refund with Steven's Creek Lexus of $500 was fully refundable. And they refunded my credit card last Friday. The car is sitting in my garage waiting to get its clear bra on before I work on the break-in process.

the reason why i didn't put that on the poll is because i haven't see any IS350 w/ no options or addition package

afaik, all US models of the IS come with at least the premium package...even the base IS250 RWD comes only with the optional 18" wheels at least in california..

Decided on the IS350 on a Sat night.
On sunday I called all the dealers in the bay area. There was a single sport, with ML and no NAV. No thanks. Called SAC and found the Exact car I wanted. So yeah, I got lucky.

All of these cars are hard to find. Luxury packages are just as hard to find as sports if not harder. And certin colors (like black on black) of any package are just as hard to find also. Just have to check with all the dealers in your area. If they dont have them its not beacuse they dont send any of those vechile to your area, its beacuse people in your area already bought them. The polls already show more sports then anyone expected. And people that think lexus is not selling any sports in their area or not many at all need to look at the poll.

We got ours today:

350/SGM/Sterling/Sport/Nav

Ordered it in November.

The ride is a little firmer than the base model we drove, but about the same as the A4 w/sport suspension that we traded. It's sweeeet!

while I agree that availability is low overall. There are certainly more lux's then sports sitting on the lot.

When I called around for mine, all 6 or so of the dealers I talked to had lux's.

I ordered Lux. Unfortunately, I would never have been able to test drive a 350 without driving 3-4 hrs. to a dealer. The GM of my local dealer has a 250 which he let me try. He dissuaded me from the sport package saying the regular 350 was "tight enough" and the sport would be too tight. He was afraid I wouldn't like it. I do mostly "straight line" driving, though, so I don't think it will really matter for me. My passengers will probably be more impressed with the smoother ride.

I got mine from Scottsdale Lexus, March 8,2006. IS350, Sport Package, Nav/ML. It wasn't even a special order. The salesman there was awesome and showed me his allocation list and what was coming in. Very straight up and honest. It was the best buying experience I've had.

Anyway, if you're looking for the nice sporty suspension then this is the way to go. The IS feels like it's on "rails"!! I got to test drive both and I'm happy that I got the sports package.
