Speculation: IS Coupe premiere at Geneva?
From prior announcements we know there's going to be an IS coupe. Lexus didn't show a car at Detroit. Some chops have shown up previously...
And there have been mules running around, with speculation that there will be a top-end V8 IS on it's way...
Finally, the new BMW 3-series coupe is expected to debut at the Geneva show in March. It's been speculated on another IS forum that Lexus might decide to steal some of BMW's thunder by announcing a coupe or even a V8 model in Geneva just to pee on BMW's parade. IS 460 anyone?

The more I think about it, I don't think it even makes too much sense to make a regular 2 door coupe version of the IS250/350 given the relatively small backseat space of the sedan, unless they make it look more drastically different. They shouldn't make the backseat legroom even shorter for a coupe & I think it should have a significantly sportier suspension than the sedan if they would even bother to make a coupe.
I even suspect they would just make a hardtop convertible coupe instead of including a regular coupe . . .

If Lexus comes out with a IS coupe... i'd hope they would take the G35 or Accord route and make it sportier than the current IS minus two doors. I may not be explaining this well, but for example, with the E46 or E36 3 series.... the coupes and sedans look very similar besides the obvious number of doors. I like how both accord and G35 coupes have a lot more sleek and sportier styling than their 4 door counterparts. The IS is a good looking car as it is, but if that Inifiniti coupe we've been seeing pictures of comes out looking like that, I think Lexus is in trouble.
EDIT: oh yea, about the original thread.... is BMW debuting the 3 coupe at Geneva? Even if they are, I think there is only so many times Lexus can **** in BMW's cornflakes before the routine gets old.

The rumor I've heard is that Lexus will be only developing a hardtop covertible coupe based on the Lexus LF-C concept car. I also believe that Lexus might have to start dropping their prices a little bit on the IS250/350 models as soon as the Infiniti G35 coupe comes out, because it has a pretty cool design and it will stay at the same price range (less than 40k) as the current model.

BTW, although the E46 3 series coupe looks like the sedan with 2 less doors, they actually don't share any body panels.
