My 07 IS 250 is my first Lexus. Had a BMW long time ago and it was nothing but problems. For 12drove nothing but Honda Accord coupes. Never owned a 4 door car in my life. Have had 1 Toyota Corolla, 1 Acura, 4 Honda Accord Coupes, and 1 BMW. I must say the moment I drove the IS I was sold and I waited 3 months for the 2007's to come before turning in my 04 Accord V6 coupe. I love Lexus, it is a fantastic ride and it is sporty enough so I forget I am in a 4 door car.

06 IS 350 is my first Lexus. My previous cars were basically Honda/Acura:
2005 Acura TL
2003 Honda S2000
2003 Acura RSX-S
2002 Acura RSX

Lexus' quality is better than Acura. IMO, Honda/Acura design is better than Lexus. IS 350 is the only car (design wise) from Lexus that I like.

My first Lexus. I was a Germancarfan but decided to try Lexus this time around. The 2IS's design is so sexy I couldn't resist.

Funny thing, I was trying to get my wife into a new Lexus. She thought the IS was too small and didn't really care for the new ES. She liked the LX, but I told her we weren't gonna drop 60k+ on her next car. Since she couldn't make up her mind, she took my Mdx and told me to get a new daily driver. Of course, the rest in history . . .

My 1st Lexus, and I am already start looking at the RX350 as my next target .

Had Nissan Murano AWD and the NB miata.
Sold both and looking for *one* replacement.
Must be awd but with rwd biased.
Must be comfortable for long drive (road trip).
Must not be boring.
Must be reliable.
Drove pass the Lexus dealer and saw the new IS.
Test drove it twice..bought it on the 3rd visit.

First Lexus... I have owned 5 VWs. This may or may not be my last Lexus. I love the car but miss the SOUL of my VWs. If the Germans can get their quality up to Lexus standards, I'll go back, otherwise, I'll stick with Lexus.

I can relate except for the BMW part. My 2 previous cars were a 98' & '03 Honda Accord Coupes. I loved driving coupes because they gave me a sportier feel. But after 8 years of driving coupes, I was ready for 2 more doors and more luxury. Thought about the 3 or 5 series but felt that it was grossly underpowered and the ones that had decent power, I couldn't afford. In the end, the 350 had everything I wanted: luxury, power and 4 doors. Best of all, although it's a sedan, it looks/feels like a coupe! (I sometimes forget I'm driving a sedan).

Oops, almost forgot to answer the question: yes, this is my first Lexus. So far, I'm lovin' it!

Something to consider regarding this poll is that it isn't really representative of how many ISX50 owners are first time Lexus owners. It is really more representative of how many car enthusiasts who purchased an ISX50 are first time Lexus owners. Lexus hasn't really been a brand geared toward car enthusiasts (ie. the types that participate in car forums).

I had a 1999 Brilliant Silver Mercedes Benz E320 before purchasing the IS350. My previous cars included; 1997 Toyota Avalon, 1995 Nissan Pathfinder, 1991 Toyota Corolla. None of which actually broke down or anything, I just got a lot of hand me down cars until I got the Benz as a going to college gift. Since I've recently graduated from college and found myself a decent job, I decided to make this my first big purchase. no regrets.

I'm waiting for my warranty to end before I start modding the F! out of my car.

My IS350 is my first Lexus but Lexus is not new to me. My dad has an 01 LS430 and I have several friends that own Lexus vehicles.

My first Lexus. I traded my 05 Acura TL with only 1800 miles in it for this. I like everything better except that Acura gives you all the options. Their only choice is Nav or no Nav. I would have paid a looooootttttt more to get all the options. I do miss my memory seats, heated mirrors, (((XM))),HID's and the nav and phone worked while you were driving. Still no regrets, I love this car. I find myself going no where just so I can drive.
