Negative IS350 review
I am looking to get a IS350 as my next car and was doing some research and found this review.

Ouch! Is the ride and handling of the IS350 that bad?

I for one don't feel comparing a 350 vs an M3 is fair..... They should have reviewed it against a 330, which I own, and then a fair battle would have resulted.
The 330 has better handling, but as an overall driver, I prefer the IS. That's why I am switching over to it.
It's painfully obvious that the author is in love with German engineering and nothing will stray him from that. It's also very obvious he feels threatend by the new IS, and thus, he feels the need to bad mouth everything about it in order to justify his cause......
To each his own I guess.......

If you keep researching, you will find that this guy's opinion is in a decided minority.
By now I have probably read about every review Google turns up on the car plus a few others. The vast majority are primarily positive. Most reviewers have at least a couple negative things to say--that's a critic's job. But when most things written about a car are overwhelmingly positive, one has to regard most of the negatives as nitpicking. Nothing in this world is perfect, despite Lexus's relentless pursuit.

This guy is just another cryptic ******* journalist who doesn't know his butt from first base. I hate sarcastic writers who use juvenile analogies to make their point. You got eyes and can drive, my man? Go see the IS for yourself and drive the car for yourself...then tell me this jag-off "expert" knows crap about what he's writing. Bet you end up ignoring this clown's review.

I read the same review and after reading a fair amount of his other reviews, and driving both 350 and 250, I respectfully disagree with him.
If you put his review in perspective with other reviews he writes(outside German), the IS one is about average.

There's a word for the dishonest crap: advertorial."
So, basically he tells the truth?
Look, this is just one guy's opinion. I would say the favorable to non-favorable review of the IS250/350 ratio is about 8.5/1.5.
Don't try to psycho analyze the author's thoughts... this is his opinion for whatever reasons, just disagree with him and leave it at that.

Who is trying to psycho-analyze his thoughts. I agree to disagree with his opinion. Regardless of what the favorable to non-favorable review ratio is, anyone who says, "the IS 350 is yet another Lexus displaying a stunning lack of brand consistency. It’s no more a luxury car than a Mustang GT" is going to get some level of critisicm and would deserve it too. Perhaps his definition of luxury is different than the masses.
I applaud his willingness to speak his mind and to put on paper what is truthful to him, but his review of the IS and well as other vehicles obviously draw perhaps too much disagreement between him and his readers which obviously hurts the appeal of whatever publication he writes for.
