![Question](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Being an old VW enthusiast, the (only) thing I liked more in the VW is the blue interior lighting in the dash/head unit of MKIV Jetta's.
Has anyone thought of how you could change the IS green int. lighting to blue? I actually did this once on my 97 Jetta GT and it looked good
...this mod I would like to try on the lexus.
Question is... how do they make the lights green? Is it simply a green film or are the japanese so much more advanced that they do something different?
Thoughts??

If you REALLY REALLY want to try doing so, you could try asking O.L.T. , he's under the SC300/400 forums, he has done a lot of LED work on several models, starting with the instrument panel needles of the SC3/4.. check under the SC forums, should be the very first sticky thread

At first, I didn't like the green when I saw the pics. But once I got my car and turned them on, I was surprised that they didn't look that bad. It gives a nice contrast in the interior. Whereas if all the lights were blue/white, it would be too plain and dull imo... Either way, I think you can put different coloured caps on the leds to change the colour.

I'd be happy to get any colored light, though preferably green, behind the trunk and gas cap release buttons. I always seem to buy gas at night, and you'd think that after more than a month, I'd remember which one is on top, but...
