Default My IS350 dyno sheets (Dynojet)

Ok, got a baseline dyno today. Car has 2500 miles on it. I will say one thing. Trying to dyno an automatic is a pain!! You have to disable VDIM, manually put the car in 4th gear and once you get to about 80 mph you have to slowly ease into the throttle to make sure the car doesn't downshift. Seem like 80 is the magic number as it won't downshift from 4th into 3rd above that speed. So basically on the graphs at around 4500rpm that squiggly stuff is from where the dyno operator was easing into the throttle. Also while I was there got them to overlay my result on a bone stock E46 manual M3 and my previous EVO 8 that had a full turbo back exhaust, hf cat and an ecu flash to hold boost at 19psi to redline as well as optimize the a/f.

I also took a video of the car on the dyno: http://media.putfile.com/IS350-Baseline-Dyno

There was another guy that posted dyno results from an dynojet and he got almost the same numbers as me before making it SAE instead of his STD. STD will give the chart about 7 more hp compared to having it set to SAE, which it should have been set to.

Here is the chart i'm referring too.

Yeah, and only about 17HP down on that M3 as well. Pretty impressive considering BMW claims 333hp for the M3 (although I suppose that number came out before the SAE testing standards were revised, so it makes sense).

Nice numbers. That's my dyno sheet that you have posted up there. That was my baseline dyno though, and I've posted another one since then showing the results after changing the stock exhaust. How did you disable VDIM on your 350? I have been able to do it several times, but I have to admit it's out of luck and I don't know what i'm doing exactly so that I can do it every time I want to. At the track last night, I couldn't do it once.

Even if the BMW is not SAE the numbers are fairly consistent. Seems like the IS350 lost about 16% through the drivbetrain. If you take that same 16% and apply it to the M3 you get roughly the same HP figure as it shows on that dyno report.

Anyway, good numbers It seems just about right on line for a 306 HP car. the numbers seem to back up the fast performance times.

LOL that must be the fan you are hearing. I thought the same thing after watching the video myself. Here's a photo of the car on the dyno with the big fan in front.

Yeah that place is always like that except for dyno meet days when they have to clean it out to allow more room for all the people and cars. They basically have so much work to do and not enough space to do it all neatly. BTW.. have you been there? I notice you live in VA too.
