Default For Those Who Installed The Rear Spoiler

I got my spoiler in finally and i want to install it the right way by drilling the holes and bolting it on.

I read the instructions it came with and i was just wondering if u guys followed it EXACTLY. Like did u guys remove the negative terminal from the battery...did u guys put any rust prevention compond on the holes u drilled....did u put the cloth tape on the inside of the trunk to catch the shavings....etc. Coz there's alot of things that i think that isn't necessary to do to install the spoiler, but im afraid to skip some steps and something bad will happen. Sorry this is my very first NEW car so im a little paranoid haha. Thanks

If you are going to install it the right way by drilling. I would definitley paint the holes you drilled to prevent rust from forming. I've installed spoilers and side markers before and that will help stop rust. Highly recommended.
