Default Been having a pretty bad experience so far...

Overall I'm happy with my car, but there are certain things (mainly dealing with the dealership and Lexus Financial that's really put a damper on my overall experience).

* My alignment is out of wack. The car veers to the right, no matter the road condition. I've taken my IS350 to Kuni Lexus twice already. Both times they had the car for over 4 hours and put 20 miles each time, yet they haven't been able to fix it. After the second service visit, they said their 'alignment specialist' recommended ordering new bushings which were supposed to come in on the 23rd. The parts are now backordered till the 3rd of Feb. All the while I'm not enjoying the drive as much as I should because my alignment is significantly off.

* The dealership washed my car after the second service, despite me telling them not to, and now I have swirl marks all over my black onyx car. The service guy told me to remind hiim the next time I come in and they'll take care of it. Still, it's a hassle.

* I set up automatic recurring payments through Lexus Financial, yet the payment never went through. Today I get a call from Lexus Financial saying I'm BEHIND my payment! I told them that I already set up an automatic recurring payment through the website, but they have no record of it. We come to find out that Lexus Financial has TWO IS350s in their records (wtf). The guy was nice enough to remove the late fee and he just charged me over the phone for the payment that was due. But now I have to call them on monday to figure out this whole "two car" situation.

I'm sorry for the rant. Most of you haven't had any of the same problems I've had with the car. I feel like I just have really bad luck because nobody else experiences the alignment issues, the stuff with LFS, or the bad dealership service like I have. I think I need to write a letter to someone, but I don't know who.

i had the same alignment problem, i think this has been discussed before. ultimately the thing that fixed it was giving me new tires. I had to bring my car in twice also but if you complain enough you'll get some free perks. I got some free oil changes and all weather floor mats along with the new tires

The alignment problem sounds pretty significant, yes that would upset me the most, particularly having to continue waiting for fixes.

Don't worry about LFS, you shouldn't even think twice about it. The problems there can be easily fixed, reversed, and/or erased as though they had never happened. The external appearance of your car is another story. Hopefully they'll correct that, too.

Default Easy to tell if its tires

Generally if its tires its the front(s). You can test by moving the LF to the RF and the RF to the LF. If its tires..the pull will switch. Its called a radial pull..basically the tire wasn't built with the belts 'right down the middle'. Because the belt if off center, the tire pulls in that directon.

Surprised a dealer doesn't check this. Its a fast and easy test.

Same dealer is screwing around with my trade money. They owe me a fairly substantial amout of money for over two weeks now. Going in Monday to get that resolved one way or another.

Regarding your alignment, take it to Les Schwab. My guess is that the dealer just drove it and came back with unable to duplicate. It's under $50 to have the alignmnet done. At least then you will have piece of mind.

Someone else noted on another post... make a cardboard sign that says "NO WASH" and put it in your glove box. Every time you take it to the dealer put it on the dash or seat. I've also asked the dealer to put "NO WASH" on my profile.
