I'm studying to become an RN. How is it in the ER? I've been wondering about which part of the hospital would be good to work in.
It is often very stressful because you care for so many patients a day, many of which are critical and require your attention immediately but at the end of the day it is always fufilling in one way or another. In my ER we are also a trauma center so between your trauma, med-surg, icu and psych type pt's it's practically impossible to get bored. If your willing to worK hard and want to be kept on your toes, ER is the place to be. Good luck with school.
