Hello from France, IS250 owner
Hello guys !
My name is Franck and I'm French. I'm happy to join the community with my Lexus IS250 RWD 2006. Sport Package with the automatic 6 speed gearbox. Full equipment included (sport package in France comes with everything except PreCollision system).
We don't have a lot of Lexus cars over there, it's a young brand which needs more "image" but it's getting better. No IS350 available and no IS250 AWD in Europe (I'd have taken this one instead) but only the IS250RWD and the IS220D, a diesel engine (177bhp, 6 speed manual only). I'm the first owner of a new IS in France as I got mine just a few days after it got sold in France (end of November 2005). Already clocked 2,000 miles with it and really happy !
Thanks for this nice forum
Some pics of my car, please click to enlarge

I don't like diesel in fact (I'm not a good French )... It's torquier but that's all, the 250 is much better and I loved the automatic transmission (my first one) with manual paddles at the steering. Lot of fun. More power too. 0-60 mph is around 8 sec for petrol, more than 10 for the diesel, end of the story. And I find the fuel consumption quite economical for this kind of engine.

Franck34,
Welcome to CL. Great photos! It's nice to see more owners outside of the US posting their photos and in different colors other than the usual Silver.

The navigation system works well and yes we have the lane guidance too. We also have the TMC system, which tells you the traffic jams, bad weather (from rain to snow or wind), accidents on all the important roads and highways. So you can avoid some roads. I don't know if such a system is available in the US ?
