What kind of interest rates have people been seeing when financing through Lexus?

I went through Costco, but the dealer said they wouldn't be able to match the 5.39% rate that I got. The F&I manager said the rates they've been getting were typically in the 6+ % range.

Lexus Financial offered me 6.5% regardless of how much I was putting down. This is with a 740+ credit score.

And one last Greenspan hoo-rah... Another quarter point raise on the fed rates today... Expect auto financing rates to follow suit.

You can do a good bit better than that with ELoan right now. 5.39% for 36 months (I'd assume for 750+).

6.25% @ 72 mos. w/ 740+ score. They gave me 0.25% discount for previous LFS customer.

end up paying off the car. didn't want to pay that high of interest.

On the one-year plan, didn't matter much to me a point here or there (not sure what it was). With decent credit, you're getting an idea of how rates are looking.

That is the most I've ever heard a dealer allowing to be charged to a credit card. Most people say dealers refuse anything over $5k (sometimes lower).
