Oddly enough, it was more expensive to insure my 2004 Toyota Solara two years ago than the 2006 IS350 now. Go figure?

New Jersey Manufacturers. They are a phenominal insurance company. They pay an annual dividend, usually about 10% of your premium, that gets credited back to you when you renew your policy next year. Also, every so often I'll get a letter from them saying something like "our 2003 actual payout on collision claims was less than we expected, so here is an additional 5% of your 2003 collision premium" with a check attached. And they don't immediately jack up your rates if you get a ticket or make a claim. They are very picky about who they take - you (or a family member) has to work for a company that is a member of the NJBIA, and you have to have a decent driving record. Once you are a policyholder, you can change jobs to a company that isn't an NJBIA member and they'll continue to write coverage for you. I don't remember exactly what I'm paying - I think it's a bit over $1200/year for 500,000 liability, 500 ded. coll., 200 ded. comp., increased rental reimbursement and a few other extras. But as I said, by the time you figure in the dividends and premium refunds it works out to be less -- for a company with excellent service if you ever need to make a claim.

7 years clean record, currenlty 23.... and paying $916 per 6 months at 21st century with $500/1000 deductibles. I was paying $1150 for $250/500 deductibles. Still hurts!

This is a really good price but you've gotta look at the place you are at. If your living area is safe than the rate will be lower.

Oh yeah, my IS350 quote was much higher than a two-year-old C5 Z06 or a new 330i. Maybe it varies by company but I think they're holding the IS300's high rates against the IS350 too.

NJ Manufacturers is the best in NJ, hands-down. I'm paying about the same annual premium as the others here that use NJM....and I have my homeowner's insurance with them as well!
