Yikes! IS insurance rates?
I just came across the following info. from Kelley Blue Book that, as of 2004, the IS 300 was the most expensive passenger car under $50K to insure: http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/ke.kb.s...ranceC;article
More than likely, insurance companies have not yet set rates specific to the new IS, but I would guess that they base rates on what they were charging for the IS 300. Has anyone experienced a major spike in premium going from something else to a new IS?
It won't put me off buying my IS350. I just want to brace myself for when I make that call to my agent!

(And I live in the state with the highest insurance rates in the country. Fortunately, I have the best (and probably the cheapest) insurance company available in NJ)

I went with Geico. When I first called them up to set up my insurance, I told them it was a IS350 but when I got my paperwork, it said IS300 all over it. So I called them up and they said that was what the VIN pulled up, then I explained to the chick on the phone that they don't even make that car anymore. So I got put on hold and when she came back, she said she fixed it and my rates dropped 300 every 6 months.
