Default tier 1 lease money factor

went to a dealer yesterday and finally got to drive an IS without the sport pkg. it had the lux with 18s and was loaded minus only the radar/pcs and sat/ml. 43 and change. got quotes for 36/48 months and the money factor is .00275 on the sheet handed to me. is this the legit tier one rate? and what interest rate does this compute to?

interest rate =~ MF x 2400. .00275 x 2400 = 6.6%.

That's probably about right. Mine was .0027 in November, but interest rates are going up throughout the economy.

Well I don't know what's up with that, but I got a quote - 06 IS350 - Luxury PKG - ML-SAT-rear spoiler; basically everything but the rear cargo mat and wheel locks, all for $44,858. That's not counting the discounts I'm getting, just MSRP.

Both sound about right. ML/SAT is around a $2K option. He said $43 and change. He's probably close to $42.7K + some dealer installed options.

actually list was 43589 and the tentative deal is 2k off. I am going to another dealer because I have been told that the security dep will be waived and I am curious what the actual lexus loyalty/encore discount will be.

Default here is a link to the current rates

they can vary by the dealer, security deposit from none to 9 x deposit. The money factor can vary and the residual will vary due to total annual miles

.00275 should be right on the money for lexus financial services-are you in the eastern region? if so,hann financial is running high residuals on the is250 right now,i'm not sure on the is350 but it may be worth researching-hann traditionally has the best rates up front (money factor,residual,etc...) you just have to read the fine print and DON'T let them make it up at the end of the lease-just my proffesional opinion

Okay I am going to give you all the most current rate info from TMS/LMS.....As of 02/01/2006 the buy rate for tier 1+ buyers is 6.15% max 60 mos......and on a lease it's 0.00255% x 2400 = 6.12%...so if you dealer is charging you 0.00275% they are being very fair....they have to make a little money too ....Right!!!

And with in reguards to rate varying by dealers....that is false....rates are vary by district.....like Nor-Cal, So-Cal and etc......

If you are tier 1+ 730 fico+ or tier 1 690-729 fico....don't let your dealers charge you security deposit....but if you are between tier 2-4 sorry.....

I hope this helps

This is excellent information. Thanks! I was under the impression that only Tier 1+ was allowed to waive the security deposit and not both 1+ and 1.
