Default DRL on HID and non-HID IS.

Do the IS350s that come stock with HIDs use the same DRL bulb as the IS350s that come stock with halogen headlights?

DRL's arent a separate bulb, they are the high beams on like 50% power.

And the high beam, even on the HID setup, is halogen. (Didn't learn until after I got the car that bi-xenon doesn't mean two HID lights on each side of the car)

i just put my hid kit and led parking lights in today...i noticed that when i have my lights set to the dot (parking lights only) my drls always come on...what is the point of having the drls AND parking lights?? lexus can shut these off so they never come on and only the parking lights do?

Default Go to your dealer and they can...

shut off the DRL's with a scan tool. The Bi-Xenon means that the HID low beam lowers its shield when the High beams (Halogen) are on which makes the highs even brighter! Only the SC430 and the IS with sport/lux packages have this feature.
