Default The head units are both made by...

Pioneer and are interchangable. The Mark Levinson has a DVD drive not just an audio CD drive. The Mark Levinson magic happens after the head unit so you really are not upgrading the sound but he got the DVD player under warranty which is not bad either..

Really? I would very much like to know how much the head unit costs.

Paying for it is the part I likely wouldn't want to do.

i wouldnt really care about the sound quality cause you can always upgrade them but i would like the dvd unit to keep it looking like it is stock...............i wonder how much it will cost though.......

the ML system is more than just DVD changer with surround sound processor, it has totally different amp and speakers; so swapping the HU alone isn't going to make that big a difference, and certainly not worth the extra cost.
