I liked the chrome tails b/c it goes with the black/chrome appeal i have. I don't like to crazy with the chrome either. I like how it turned out.

Can you tell that I have a Clear Bra? It goes right across the middle of the hood and front fenders. Great product!

You should red it out. It's too busy (orange, chrome, red, clear)

not feeling the chrome tail light trim, i see that all the time on crop workers vans..... that and chrome door trim. The rims look very small, and the tires look bloated.....

what size tires are you running?

Will there be any problem if I install the sensor?
eddiec,

Just wanted to let you know that I got the same rims as you installed yesterday and my wheel shop was able to get the TPMS sensors in no problem. The car hasnt thrown me any warning lights thus far, so it seems like everything is all good. Maybe try another tire shop?

But for everyone else's benefit, the AME Tracer FS-01 Wheels are defintiely TPMS compatible

Hi Ichigo,

In fact, I got a reply from Kyoho Corporation (http://kyoho-corporation.jp/) today. They told me that FS-01 is incompatible with TPMS. So this is the official reply from the wheel maker.

However, I am afraid that my wife will kill me because of the TPMS issue. I asked the tire shop to install the transmitters back to the wheels last night. So your transmitter is not "on" the wheel, right? Unlike Lexus OEM wheel, the transmitter is "on" the wheel.

What??? Are you sure??? The word after that press release a while ago was that the FS-01's WERE in fact TPMS compatible. That's what D2A told me, too...

Man, that would suck if they weren't...

Below is what I got from AME Japan.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Dear Eddie

Thank you for your enquiry by FAX as subject.

Unfortunately, FS-01 is not manufactured to fit TPMS.

There might be the one to fit somehow but it is not recommended to do so by safety reasons.

Please contact us again, if you have any other questions!

Best Regards,
Itchy

ok...this is what I mean that the transmitter is not "on" the wheel.

I don't know if it is so called "TPMS incompatible"?

What I am afraid is that will the transmitter become loose after vibration or rotation?

So the wheels had the hole for TPMS from the factory? Or did your tire shop have to drill that hole? If it's the former... then they ARE TPMS compatible, but just probably not as stable as the OEM wheels?
