I did not add anything to the doors. I did have a look when they were removed for tinting and each door has a layer (maybe 1/4") of felt. There's not too much room considering the space for the window movement, etc.

Doing just the roof is great. It is not so much labor, requires little material and has a huge impact on sound reflection back to your ears. (Think about how close the metal roof or the glass panel is to your head. Put your ear next to a glass window and notice the extra sounds.) By adding a couple layers of the foam, mentioned at the start of this post, in the sunroof space (careful when opening it, unless you inactivate as I did), you will be surprised as to how quiet the car is.

I wonder how many people in these forums are fanatics of sound deadening and quiet cars like us

Take a look what a crazy Russian will do (5 years ago)...I hope I'm not hijacking this this thread

1993 LS400 - she's goes all apart

My Lexus SQ install

1997 Maxima...this one I went really crazy...lol, plus I had a lot more time back then

Maxima gained almost 300 pounds?!?

The most fun of course is taking her all apart and then putting her back together...lol You really get to see how well a Lexus is built. It's amazing

Wow, I hardly can find the time to wax my car. Propz on a job well done. Seems like a crazy process. might Possibly consider a few options in the summer of 08, thanks for sharing. OMG she was stripped down to her bones.

Do you mind telling me how did you contour MLV to the floor?

Did you cover the floor completely or were there areas left uncovered?

Thanks
