I plan to drop the car and go with 19" wheels when I get the car (just like what I did to my wife's TSX when we got it), but I'm pretty sure that this won't happen right-a-way since I need to fix some stuffs (probably very costly) in the house first.

Not true. Your warranty is good as long as the problem isn't a direct result of having the modification ie lowering your car. So if your transmission died it will still be covered under your warranty. Now if your shocks crapped out, you would be S.O.L. See what I'm saying? As for the ride, it depends totally on what you get. I have heard people rant and rave about how well the Tein Flex's with EDFC rides very well on previous IS's and GS's so once they start producing those for the 2IS I would look into it if you are interested. Or have they started producing these yet? I haven't checked.

BTW - I chose 19's.

lol you beat me before I could finish my edit. Here is what I wrote.

Now, for my car, I don't even remember what a stock 1IS rides like to be honest. lol My car is pretty stiff riding but I like it like that. I like being able to throw it into a turn and it just dig into it. You can kind of do that with a stock one but I wouldn't feel quite as confident really.

Well, you will sacrifice some things...like going up driveways or speed bumps at an angle to prevent scraping. Your ride will be stiffer (really depends on the springs and shocks you choose). I think that's about it.

What you do get from lowering is better looking ride, better handling, and more turned heads.

On the subject of sacrifice, you will sacrifice more with 20s then 19s. Not a WHOLE lot but there will be a difference.

the only thing thats turns me off with the 19 is that if for some reason i dont want to drop it, it will have one hell of a gap in between tire and fender you know what im saying

Yeah i know what you mean, and I understand completely, but with the 20s though you will have no gap but your car will look like a 4x4 because it's so high if you don't lower it. I say get 19's and slam the bish.

20s actually fills in the wheelgap pretty much this one guy had 20s with no drop or sports package I believe and he looked like he was lowered since the wheels/tires filled in the wheelgap

posted it earlier in this thread, looks good:

Well I know it fills in the gap, but I meant the road clearance from the bottom of the car to the ground would look like a 4x4.
