Where to find a bra just for trips

Thankfully that doesn't happen anymore to me (on my `04 SC430, `04GX470, and `05.5 A4) because I had clear bras installed on every one of them. [If you noticed, I too tend to change cars every three years, or so.] For me, the peace of mind (and a smooth and shiny front end)is more than worth the investment of a clear bra.
on protecting something than the item they're protecting is actually worth..

I would never use a cloth bra even for short distances. It is inevitable that dirt, small rocks , etc will get between that cover and your paint. Then it's sandpaper city on your hood!

I guess the blue painter's tape would work in a pinch. It would look extremely ghetto though.

Clear bra may be a positive selling point in 3 years for a potential buyer... not to mention the lack of tiny dings.

after about 4 years of the clear bra being on, what if you decide to take it
off , due to "damage of clear bra, etc.." Won't you see the difference between
the protected paint and the weathered paint?

Reading through this thread, as well as others, about the positives and negatives for installing a clear bra leads me to the conclusion that having a clear bra installed is a matter of personal preference. I like my cars to look nice. I don't lease, but even if I did I would install a clear bra because it irks me to see the effects of the road on my hood and front end. Stated more plainly, having a clear bra keeps me happy and in a good mood regarding the appearence of my car. It's as simple as that for me.
