Hello, everyone! I am new here.

It is just my problem or it is a general issue with all IS. I can hear noise from the fan under the hood from new IS 250 AWD. I've never own a lexus before, but I really don't expect this kind of noise from Lexus. I expect an Lexus car to be very quite either inside or out. Even this noise is not loud, but it is loud enough to let me hear them. It is annoying. Does anyone hear the same kind of noise?

fan noise? is it a ticking noise? if its a ticking noise its the injectors and its normal....

After being on a while if i listen carefully i can hear when my fan goes on
and off too, but that's been in every single car i've ever owned,. lol.. Our cars
are pretty quiet but don't expect them to be as quiet as a Lexus LS...

You should hear the fan on my 2006 GX on a cold startup. Whhhhoooooosssssshhhhhh!!!
But they use a clutch type fan on the GX and LX vehicles since they are on a truck based frame.
So its a normal sound for the beast. Even my old trusty 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd. V8 gives out the same noise on cold startup.

Yeah, I can hear the fan kick on and off as well. I usually don't notice it unless i'm parked somewhere sitting in my car while it's running,

Thanks for the info. I guess this ticking sound(can say it is noise anymore) from the fan is normal.
