The good news for me. . .This is my build month. Build, boat, train, truck and then its mine. Ordered Jan 18th. The wait isn't that bad as I enjoy my current ride. . .Volvo S60R. And I have a great book or 2 to read.

I ordered the same time. Out of curiosity, what is your dealer giving you as a delivery date?

He is telling me end of April. Not May but April. I find that hard to believe because after it leaves port it goes by train to Kansas City and then waits for a truck to bring it back to Omaha. While I don't necessarly believe him I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a late April delivery.

Current wait time: 27 days.

How did you find out what was coming to port? Dealer look up?

I guess being on the coast helps (Boston). Mine would go direct from port to dealer by truck I would imagine.

Just got my car today...According to the salesman, he was able to look up what was coming to port because they were a big dealership. Don't know how truthful that is but I do know that if I hadn't call, I would not have gotten it so soon. White with ebony interior (IS350) is supposed to be a rare combination in the west coast.

It took a total of 28 days.

Didn't rain today either

Default Special Order Wait

Ordered ours via computer at dealer 11/18/2005; built in late Jan/early Feb (notified by dealer); to port in Japan in mid to late Feb (received VIN # from dealer from the allocation sheet they received); arrived on West Coast 02/27/2006 (notified by dealer); as of today, we are waiting for the ETF which will tell me it's on its way to Chicago by train and then on to Lansing by truck; dealer is "guessing" a delivery of 03/08/2006-03/11/2006...long wait but now that its eminent, doesn't seem so bad! Doing the math, it looks like it will be pretty close to the 4 month mark. Our IS350/ML(no nav)/White/Black/Lux/18" will soon be in our driveway!!!

they never really "lose" your order.. dealers will sell a car to whoever pays the most money for it. it's just demand and supply. lots of dealers out here do not have much honor when it comes to deposits, especially if you negotiated the price down.

In my case I had one ordered first week in January and the dealer "LOST" the order so I am now starting all over here on March 1st.
You should contact my dealer in Chicago. I got $2k off MSRP for my 350... PM me for his contact info.

Default no special build wait

I ordered my is250awd Jan 2 and was initially told 4-6 weeks. They never called me so after 4 weeks i called them, and they said another 4 weeks. After that now they tell me for a third time yet another 4-6 weeks. Been waiting just over 2 months now, but most likely will be between 3-4 months. I can understand a long wait for a special build, but all I ordered was base + NAV.

60 days and waiting.....
