Default 2007 only in a coupe?

I was planning on buying a 2006 IS 350 but then i decided that since the wait in hawaii was going to be 3 to 4 months for the options i wanted i then decided to just wait for the 2007 model. Im hoping by then the demand will go down and by that, will cause the buyers able to negociate the pricce a little more.
One thing concerns me though. People have been saying that Lexus will be coming out with the coupe for the 2007 models. If this is true, will they still produce a sedan model as well? I know for sure that i dont want a coupe and to me it will be stupid for them to discontinue the sedan and only produce the coupes.

I don't think they would get rid of the sedan IS 250/350. It is in such high demand.....I really don't think it will be going anywhere anytime soon.

No manufacturer is going to produce a model for only a single year.

I don't see it being an 'either/or' type of thing.

They intro'd the sedan first and now it looks like they might be adding a coupe to the line up.

I don't think any mass-production car was just produced one year. Ever. I could be wrong. But even the flop Phaeton was sold more than one year.

Funny post though. Don't worry about it.

Sedan stays.

Coupe will complement it.

just wanted to make sure...

i know it sounded silly but when i talked to one of the salesman down here he said that Lexus was thinking about a coupe, convertable, IS500 etc... If so then that would be a REALLY big line of IS cars..

ACTUALLY.... the mazdaspeeds have been only produced for one year. Mazdaspeed protege in 2003, and mazdaspeed mx-5 miata in 2005. We'll see about the current mazdaspeeds though....

Yeah but those were special edition limited production vehicles, but they're just modified, not an entirely different vehicle. And we can say that about the 2001 Nissan Maxima Aniv. Edition also.

I got $2000 off MSRP on my 350, so there are great deal(er)s out there. You just have to shop around. Of course in HI it might be harder.

Good luck!

Good luck in trying to get a discount. not only is the car in demand but only one Lexus dealer in HI. why would they want to discount thier cars? sometimes it sucks living on a rock in the middle of the pacific ocean.

I dont see a purpose to have a IS 350/250 coupe.. What would taking away a door add in value to the car??

I dont get it.
