Thanks!! Here are some pics of the original CCW wheel fitment test:

In this pic, more than 1.5" - 2" can be removed from the wheel hub surface:

Here, I show John @ CCW that I have 2.3" caliper clerance from the rim:

I'd like to pull this in by .5" :

Another reason to pull in .5" :

.5" again:

Here is the car with the one rim on, but photochopped for hieght adjustment:

Tomorrow I'll place the same rim on the front, take measurments, and contact John @ CCW with my findings. From there he'll be ready to make my rims. Already we've discovered that since the rear caliper sits lower than the rear wheel hub, the wheel hub surface can be almost completely removed which will bring the spokes in about 2". The test rim already has a 2" lip. So bringing the spokes in by 2" and bringing in the outside of the rim by .5" will get me approximately a 3.5" lip!!! All with proper clearance!!!

We've also discovered that a 10.5" rim can fit the rear of the IS350 with EXACT measurments. In other words, having a wheel made custom for the car make sit easy to get exactly the look you want rather than trying to find that "canned" fitment that happens to work. I understand that this can be costly, but I usually buy VOLKS, and these CCWs aren't costing anymore than I'm used to paying for rims.

I'll definitely keep everyone posted!

is a 10.5" wheel going to fit a 275/30 tire? 9.5" fits that tire size it fine but 10.5 might stretch it a bit and youre sure the 10.5" wheel wont interfer with the suspension?

10.5 will fit provided that all wheel specs are "perfect" for the IS. the problem is, as you mentioned, the tire size. 275 fits nicely onto a 9.5" or 10" rim. 275 on the 10.5" and the tire is going to look sort of stupid (out of place). The issue with 10.5" is that you could run a 280 tire IF there was any such thing There isn't, and 285 gets close to trouble near the suspension. So, 10" is what I've opted for.

You like the black VOLKS better than the CCW's? My issue with VOLK right now is that first of all you have to settle with predetermined sizes and offsets, meaning you have to find the BEST FIT for you car (limited). Secondly, there's nothing in stock right now, so I'd have to wait about 3 months to get rims. Also, I've had VOLKS on so many things that I feel like changing up. I had GT7's on my white IS300, Black GTCs on my silver IS300, GTPs on my 93 SC300 GTE, gunmetal GT7s on my silver Supra when it was anthracite, black SF Challenges on the Supra now that it's silver... I could go on some more

I just really wanted to go with something different this time. Also, CCW can custom make the wheel to get the most agressive setup for the car. Already we've decided that I can run 275's on the rear with a 3.5" lip and no fender rolling! This is the sort of customization I want this time.

So..... you like the black SF's, huh

Thanks!! I'll keep posting as my car transforms. I ordered the HKS exhaust for the car as well, but the car beat the exhaust. When it arrives it goes on immediately! LMS intake was in on the second day and it sounds GREAT!! The GR series motor has an awesome growl to it. Nice and throaty!!

19x8.5 and 19x10 CCW SP18's and NO RUBBING on Eibachs:

I'd JUST installed the springs on in these pics and the car had yet to settle completely. Now, the car is setteled, slightly lower than pictured, has no rubbing, and I can't tell a difference in ride quality!

Off topic

The color of all your pictures look very un-natural, did you saturate them in photoshop or is this the way they came from the camera?

I saturated these by only 10 points because these shots were taken on a very, very cloudy day. Nevertheless, since I only saturated by 10 points, most of this is from the Canan SureShot.
