each emblem on the IS 350 is seperate (in other words, the IS 350 badge is composed of 5 emblems). there is one hole behind the S and another in one of the other emblems.

Default I am going to take Mr. Jones advice

And when I get my SGM 250 AWD, am going to use fishing line, goop and hair dryer to remove carefully. Paint them a matte, flat black and reatttach. This may be a cumbersome process, but I'm one who just simply can't stand all of the chrome lettering on the back of my vehicles.

I was very lucky in that the GX 470 had NO posts, and were all adhesive attached....Lexus, GX 470, V8 etc. all came off easily. I just left the chrome "L" center logo above liscence plate alone.

Also, if you debadge either a 350 or 250, what do you do with the vacant holes?

I think the other hole is in the lexus emblem on the left hand side.

This is what i wanted to do to this one. Remove everything but the "L". I thought most cars dont have the posts behind these emblems and also thought i have seen a pic around here with it done. But i cant find it again. Could have been a photochop though.

Nope there are definitely holes, you can patch it up and paint it. Too much work if you ask me.
