Ive had a few people say it looks like a Mazda 6 and I didnt believe one until one parked next to me and it really does! Thats ok, I always liked the looks of the 6.

That I can see...
But a Corolla? A Cobalt? Come on... that's not just a stretch, that's ridiculous. Park them next to one another and then tell me they look alike....
All the cars have taillights, headlights, and four wheels.
I agree with y2k that there is some resemblance between the IS and the Mazda 6 and that this is O.K. because I like the look of the 6.
Basically, the IS is not the kind of car that is going to jump out at you from 100 yards away and say, "Hey, I'm the only car that looks like this!" Very few cars really have such totally unique body shapes--a couple examples I can think of off the top of my head are the VW New Beetle and PT Cruiser. There are other examples, and, if you want a car that looks like them, you should get one. But when you look at an IS with some degree of closeness and carefulness, it is distinctive and looks different from other cars in the same general size/body-style category. It's not the same as comparing, say, a Camry and an Accord--where it's hard to distinguish one car from the other and, ultimately, you don't really care.
