325i, Accord V6 Coupe (used), Porsche 911 (used) and MR2 Spyder. 325i was ordered, but the wait was too long and long-term reliability is not good, I have friends and family who've owned for more than 3 years ($ to fix goes up). 2005 Accord V6 with 19K miles for a reasonable price, but was used. A doctor's car 2001 Porsche 911 with only 10K miles (wait-list, but was sold quickly) and MR2 Spyder being offered at a great discount, but too small. I settled on IS250 AWD with NAV, and keeping the C5 Z06 which I was going to ditch because of too many cars in the garage. And the IS250 does not have a 2nd roof.
Mercedes C350. Then we couldn't get a update on our ordered IS350 for 4 months. we almost went and bought a new 2006 Jeep Wrangler, Rubicon, but then the dealer found our car. It didn't fall off the ship.
I was in the market for a new car for over a year. The cars I came closest to getting were:
Audi A3 (with the 3.2L V6)
Infiniti FX 45
2002 Range Rover
Infiniti G35
Yeah, that's a range of different vehicles, but I'm most interested in best-of-breed design first (which meant no Bangle-ized cars), followed second by strong performance.
