Default Mercedes-Benz's answer to IS350

Looks like MB is cooking up some competition for the E90 and the IS350.

What do you guys think of the looks?

looks good but they won't get my business.....waaaay too many reliability issues, plus no more free 4yr/50K service anymore like Audi and BMW.

The exterior is definitely hot, but unless MB upgrades their interiors big-time they'll still be trailing the Lexus. In addition, I would imagine its going to cost a hell of a lot more than the IS350. Definitely a cool looking car though.

The current CLK has terrible resale value and major reliability issues. Until they can turn those two things around, the CLK won't be on my short list.

I like it, however these PS are a little off from the actual spyshots we have seen of the new C-class. Search the Car Chat Forum for the thread.

The stylings remind me of the new CLS (I guess that makes sense since the new CLK is in the same class). I don't think that look goes well with a sporty sedan/coupe.

I think I've become predjudice against most MB vehicles because of their poor reputation for reliability the last few years. In terms of german cars, I think BMW or Audi would cater to IS owners because of our love for power and sport handing.

I don't think the CLK is in the same market as the 3 series & IS. Even if they make a sedan. But the CLK has always been known as the coupe and convertible.

Besides, the CLK has terrible resale value, and Benz isn't exactly on top with reliability.

Don't get me wrong, if I had money to burn; I'd sport a SL65.

The CLK is actually built on the C-class chassis if I recall correctly, but yes it is priced a little higher. Now around 48K to start. I love the CLK. There is something about those pillarless windows that is so damn sexy.

Actually the MB CLK has been one of the best cars for resale in the last few years...especially the convertible version. Check edmunds and other sites if you dont believe me. Look at used ads for a CLK 320 or 430 and you will see how they have held their value. But I do agree with all of you on the reliablity issues.....they need work! Otherwise, great looking car.

looks really nice, like a smaller version of the CLS...but like always, MB tends to be the most expensive in any car segment. service and reliability sucks so thats too bad...

HOT... but it's gonna cost WAY more than what I paid for my 350.
